rmd8123 Posted May 2, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 I took the valve reeds out and they look fine. Then i took the head off and the top of both pistons are black and look burned. THere is black crusty stuff on them and i tried wipping them off with a rag and it didn't come off, anyone know what could cause this? rmd8123 Posted May 3, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 3, 2004 I pulled my timeing cover off, and the whole inside of timeing area is covered in corosion from salt, probably from riding on the beach in pismo, all the contacts are rusted over and coroded.
