THOR1 Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Alright Ive got rid of all the tors junk and was wanting to know if all the wires left over from it can be cut out. A bunch of the wires are still in the factory plastic wrap. Can I cut them out or are they still connected to the CDI box or something? Im far from being an electrician just wanted to get rid of the clutter. I did a search and theres like a million tors questions to go through! Yeh I know Im lazy! Quote
H300F Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 I have read that you can cut everything out that is TORS wires. On mine I didnt in fear I would cut something wrong out. I did take the wire out of the thumb throttle and the box on the lift side of the frame above the cyl's. Quote
Sanddunejunkie Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 I just cut all of the wires off right where they come out of the wire loom didnt hurt a thing Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Get yourself a manual and look at the wiring diagram. If you notice, all the tors wires run together inside the harness, if you spit open the harnes, you can remove all that junk by cutting only 3 wires...Carb wires and the little black box...you then can pull out like miles of wire and throw it in the trash..it realy helps to clean up that damn harness and make trouble shooting other issues a lot easier...pus it looks better.
