ranshee Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Your fronts wont throw much sand up at all, if any. Its your buds in front of ya you gotta watch out for. As far as fronts go just get the ones with the rib all the through them. they will grab real hard for thoes sharp cuts at the top of the dunes. A buddy of mine has the spoty ones and he says they dont grab as hard. Funny story, this same guy I just spoke of tried another one of my buddies bikes with the solid rib up comp at dumont for his first time there and with these tires, and right when he got to the top to turn around the bike grabbed so hard it threw him right of the side. Was some pretty funny shit. could'nt stop laughing at him. Quote

I just bought a set od ITP Sandstars For my sons quadracer and I read all good about them, Look sweet but we haven't ran them yet. Solid Two row type. Quote

I thought so, that is why I replied to your question I have ran just about every type of front "sand" tire there is. ITP's sand tires are called Sand Stars (both front and rear-same name) the fronts are a "duall ribbed" design. I was reccomending the FRONT sand stars. Look here. http://www.itptires.com Quote

bronco91shee Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 i know the solid ribbed ones r good. i tried to roost off of the top of a hill. i actually rolled up hill . im dumb, but i learned from it at leawst. i luv my fronts over knobbies. never tried any other front sand tire, but i luv the ones i got, they turn reaaly fast and dont slow me down goin striaght. peace out Quote
