onekyoung Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 Does anyone know of anyone that makes a quality spring loaded chain roller? My chain is getting a little fussy after a hard weekend of jumping Quote
fixitrod Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 I think James Lucky might. If your chain is that bad though you might just adjust it or replace it if need be. Better to replace the chain than crack your case or leg. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 Your running a stock swingarm I take it..That chain tensioner isn't going to help you out all that much, You'll still drop your chain if it's too loose, It's merly designed to keep the chain from slapping...I don't belive they offer it for a banshee. The stock chain adjuster system can go out of wack very easily. I suggest you look it over and tight up and align everything bofore you slap on that spring loaded chain roller. If your axle's cocked your still going to drop your chain. Quote
fixitrod Posted April 19, 2004 Report Posted April 19, 2004 I agree, if your having trouble... fix the problem first. Here is the chain tensioners they do sell though. http://www.jlatvproducts.com/Merchant2/mer...oduct_Code=CT99 Quote
onekyoung Posted April 19, 2004 Author Report Posted April 19, 2004 Thanks for the link Motul, Running a -2... I only loose my chain if I come down really hard on my axle at 80 or so degrees... I think the adjusters are smacking dirt or getting knocked out of position ;( . I figure if I run a spring tensioner at least the chain will stay seated until I can smack the tensioner bolt assemblies back into place. I was considering drilling through the SA and putting some bolts below the tensioner assemblies to get them to stop swinging down and out of place... Quote
