I seem to have a spot in the top gear wear it fall out of the power band. The bike doesn't seem to have a lot of bottom end either unless the rpm's are up. But while running wot up top it seems to have a dead spot. I don't think it is jetting because the plugs NEVER are fouled and they have a nice tan color around the electrode. The color is that of powdered chocolate milk. Shee starts up on the first or second kick when cold and always starts on the first kick when warm(if the switch is turned on ..lol) The mods are as follows : FMF fattys gold series with the appropriate jetting, torque reeds, boost bottle, K/N filter, snorkle removed, tors disconnected. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. It is still faster than any of my buddies but I would like to get every ounce of speed out of her. I really don't have all that much room to wind her all the way out either so maybe that is the problem. any help would be great. Oh yeah. it only happens in the dirt. On the street it is fine, no dead spot.

My guess is it's rich on the main. Since it works good on the street and not the dirt. You need more fuel for the resistance on the street. In the dirt you are spinning the tires. What is your jetting at now.

Either that or your clutch is slipping in 5th gear and when you shift into 6th, the clutch catches up and lower the rpms too low so you have no power....on the street, there is no resistance, but the dirt has a lot of resistance and makes it hard to tell if the clutch is slipping or not...If not, then it could very well be that your jetting can be one or two sizes off like Fixitrod stated or your over geared, what size tires are you running w/ what size sprockets??

I also know the sprokets are stock. Thanks for the replies. The bike does run well but the clutch sound like it could be the problem. I did buy it used. (the banshee) How much would a new clutch run me and what else should I replace while shee is apart?

thanks again!

clutch plates n springs ur lookin between 50-100 bucks, depends on what kit you get, but theres not realy much of a diffrence between the more expensive and the cheaper..
