txblueshee Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Rmatv and a few other peeps told me to go w/ the sintered metal galfer pads. So that's what I bought (there not installed yet). I was told that the carbon pads heat up and fade faster than the sintered metal. Mike Quote
350duner Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 I think it depends on where you ride. I heard sintered metal for sand and carbon for dirt/mud. That may be backwards though so somebody correct me if i'm wrong. Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 18, 2004 Report Posted April 18, 2004 Sintered metal pads will eat up your rotors..Just a warning...Plus sintered metal takes while to warm up..they don't work well cold. Organic pads work great, but they wear really fast. I stick with the carbon ones as they wear good, don't fade and don't eat your rotors up. Quote
