TailGunner
I got a set of rad valve reed cages, and was wondering if it's worth replacing the reeds that are broken. What kinda perfomance did you gain and such?...
sredish
The old FMF Rad valves are pretty much ported stock reed cages. They flow better than plain old stockers, and they are much better with new reeds rather than broken ones.
squish
I have had them and I think they are the same as ported cages with carbon tech reeds. Carb tech reeds are about fifty bucks vs. $160 reedcage.
TailGunner
The cages were in a box of extras, that i got with the shee.I never used them so i just wonderd if they are worth the reed money tolookat them you would think they wouldflow Quite abit more than the stockers. The replacment reeds are like $32.00 to replace....... Just don't wanted some opinions,no need to throw good bucks down the drain..But donnie elmers flying machine factory was 1 of the original hop up shops.Doubt they would put sumthin out with out testin it out to make some extra juice. Just wanted to here what some guys had to say about them
Mxracer776
i have a set of rad valves on my shee. when i got them they had broken reeds and called fmf to find out more about them. i was told that they are discoutinued and that fmf did not make the valves they where just sold under the fmf name. you can still get the replacement reeds and for the price i figured what the hell they couldn't be worse then stock. they seem to work pretty good.
