Blaster Pistons On A Banshee?

A stock size blaster piston is the same diameter as an .080" over Banshee piston. You can use them, but you have to have a long rod crank because the Blaster pistons have the pin a little closer to the top of the piston. Also, to make it work, you must have the head reshaped because the blater pistons have a different shape on the crown than a Banshee piston. This used to be how people created a 370 long rod on a Banshee. There is another option for doing a long rod though. Wiseco now makes pistons designed for the Banshee which has the pin relocated for a long rod crank, but has the normal Banshee shaped piston crown, so that you do not have to mess with haveing the head reshaped. Also, these wiseco pistons are available in smaller diameters, so you don't have to cut your jugs to .080 over to go to a long rod.
