canadabanshee Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 When I turn right the left tire would hit the a arm. Sometimes stick. And in a turn it would turn me right around. The steering stoppers are still on. When I set the bashee in the air on its back with the front end up. And then turn the steering to the left the tire just goes to the left and hits the a arm. Looks like the ball joints and tie rod ends are good. Dunno whats wrong and how to fix it Quote
dnhyoung Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Are you sure the steerring stop is still ok. I had the same problem, and found out that the steering stop was bent forward and the stops weren't engaging at all. When I would turn, the tire would catch on the smallest bump, the jack knife the tire against the A-arm.... Quote
MotulMonsta Posted April 10, 2004 Report Posted April 10, 2004 Is your front end stock? If it is you might have a bent tie rod. If it's aftermarket, you could have somthing out of adjustment. Check your castor and camber angles and chect your toe in and toe out as well. I had a problem for a while with my front end until I realized the upper a-arm heim joints were not ajusted properly..fixed that and it's been butter ever since. I still have my yardstick, protractor and tape mesure in my tool chest on my truck just in case I tweak somthing. Quote
94BansheeRider Posted April 12, 2004 Report Posted April 12, 2004 I would have to agree with dnhyoung. I had the same problem with my steering stop. It would jack-knife on me at the most inappropriate times, sending me over the bars. I used a really big hammer and steel tube to bend the stop back and rewelded. Quote
canadabanshee Posted April 13, 2004 Author Report Posted April 13, 2004 thats guys it was the tie rod end. It is perfert Quote
