D'Lo Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 I'm new here so i don't know if this question has been asked or not. When I start up my 95 'shee, it revs up high as hell, but when i shift it into gear and ride around it settles back down. changed the plugs so many times drainded the gas and carbs, still does it. It is stock engine-wise and I run Klotz mix at 32:1. I have been told if mixed gas(especially Klotz) seperates and you burn either straight gas or oil if it has set a while and seperated. would this make it rev up high like that? but even when i shake the hell out of it it still revs high?? need help quick! ledofthezep Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Have you checked for any air leaks? Choke tube on the carbs in place? When did it start doing this? Had you done anything prior the problem? Dunno... Quote
bigboybanshee Posted April 8, 2004 Report Posted April 8, 2004 Choke tube on the carbs in place? That is what my problem was....had the EXACT same symptoms. Check your choke tube man. Quote
reas11 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 check your slides or your idle screws thats where i would start .. Quote
Hockey390 Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 Had that problem, it was my slides.. They were up just a FRACTION of an inch, but it still was crazy at idle. Pull your throttle cable off of the thumb throttle assembly so that it doesnt have tension. See if that helps... If it does you just have too much tension in the cable, so screw the bolt in further on the thumb throttle assembly Quote
