dotapvd Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Im burning brake pads up in less that 3 weeks......what are the best ones i do mostly trail some track Quote
bigboybanshee Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I haven't had any problems with the EBC heavy duty brakes...a little more $$$$ but I change them much less frequent. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 I run Galfer pads with their "wave" rotors and have nothing but great things to say about them, no problems what so ever, I do ride 80% sand though. Quote
Ducman Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Im burning brake pads up in less that 3 weeks......what are the best ones i do mostly trail some track 3 weeks? Geeze what kind of torture do you do to those darn things? Maybe your rotors need to be replaced and are causing the pads to wear out extra fast? Quote
89 bansheedude Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 if you do mostly trail like me, then its you rotors that are fucked, they are not smooth causing the pads to be like sanded down really fast. its usally the rear that does this. try going with a new wave rotor, there sopposed to cut down on the dirt and mud biuldup on the brake, then gets some hard pads som they last longer, cost more but last longer. hope this helps you. jayare Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 yeah you have a problem with your rotors warped or just roughed up. i abuse my brakes terriblly and my brakes last alot longer than 3 weeks. id check out quicksands waves rotors, way cheaper than any others and those wave rotors really do brake better Quote
dotapvd Posted April 7, 2004 Author Report Posted April 7, 2004 ive got new hammer rotors all the way around i think it may be the crappy pads i was using they are bendix pads Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 i use the EBC sintered metal ones, they seem to hold up very well Quote
