BakoBanshee Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 At $319.95, are these worth the money compared to stockers? Does anybody run these type of "entry-level" shocks on the front of their shees? If so, how is the ride difference between the Works and the stock shocks? Are they a "noticeable" improvement or, are they a huge "night & day difference"? Thanks for any info. Quote
Holyman Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 I've got dual rates and I would say HUGE diference. I have alot of woops on the trails I ride and after a half hour of that with stock shocks, I'd need pain killers. Now I just hit the tops of the woops and keep on going. I wouldn't buy new though. You can save some money by getting a gently used set. Make sure they are gentlyused. Shock take alot of beating so if you have doubts about a used pair, then pass 'em up and wait for another deal to come along. Quote

nater006 Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 I've got Works all around (now)... just had fronts when I bought the quad. Don't really have much to compare it to except for one of my riding buddies' machines.. and it is a really noticeable difference. I ride some really rough farmland and am usually going pretty fast... the shocks definitely help. Works are a good step up from stock. Quote
