excess Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 I noticed my banshee would turn way to much to the left almost to the point where the tires hit the a arms, after I took a look at what was going on I noticed there is a chip on a peice of frame I guess missing which is where the steering stem hits so it can no longer turn in "x" direction anymore. Apparently the last owner must of taken a hard turn or something and knocked a peice off of that off, is this common? What do you guys do to fix the problem? Quote
ranshee Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Maybe you can weld a new piece on there. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 Its common. Its the first part to wear out IMHO. Weld it up, and then grind it down to where its supposed to be so you don't get locked in the furthest turning point. It can happen. Quote
evil Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 another one bites the dust !!!! if you cant bend the stop to meet the stem then youll have to weld and grind it. Quote
wansomordis Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 I noticed it on mine one day and just bend it back (before the powdercoating)..Then looked at a buddies and his had wore a grove in it. But after bending his back works just fine..Factory P.O.S. How about a close up of that frame Quote
BrokeStonedBiker Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 yes mine comes reaslly close the the aarms too. can i get a close up of that picture soo what it looks like. it almost looks plastic Quote
excess Posted March 31, 2004 Author Report Posted March 31, 2004 Im almost positive that a peice chipped off not a matter of bending it back, when you guyssay weld you mean a whole new peice or just the corner that was broken? Quote
