vmaxup Posted March 28, 2004 Report Posted March 28, 2004 Need to know what alltitude your at. Most of the time both cylinders will look bad if you seized it. I run a 370 in Glamis(sea level) with about the same mods but mine is ported. my other one runs 360main at Glamis. Up her in AZ mountains at about 5000 ft I run a 240 main Since your tearing it down I would do an air leak test before you get to far into it. I had some pics of my home made test kit but cant post them here so if you need some pics of it give me your email adress Eric Quote
badass_r6 Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 i have similar mods and i too run a 370. imo, 300's are small. weird that you have damage on one side. you gotta have something else goin on in there. Quote
Fireman-hott Posted April 3, 2004 Report Posted April 3, 2004 Sure you didn't put the pistons in backwards? You know that arrow points toward the exhaust. Quote
deathmetal2004 Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 i dont think it would even run if it was in backwards. i got fmf fatties v-force reeds k&n with no lid and im running 300 mains, but i dont have the superstock pistons. i put a superstock piston, pro circuit pipe+sil, k&n with no lid on a blaster with 300 main and had no problems. it sounds like an air leak on that side, i would assume that the exaust after the burn is so hot from being lean that it burned up that side of the piston. where the leak would be from, could be anywhere.
