Otis Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 A couple years ago, i bought a Motion Pro twist throttle conversion(minus the ilde screws). Put it on and didnt like it(mainly because of the "bog" caused from not having the idle screws..which i didnt know anything about, at the time). So back to stock she went. anyway...I'd like to remove the TORS system and keep my thumb throttle. Can i use the cable and carb caps from the twist throttle conversion kit, and just buy a set of idle screws? or do i have to buy a whole diff set up? Quote
stealthawd Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 cable will be different, but it will come with the TORS removal Quote
stealthawd Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 different cable length and pull on the throttle end Quote
boonman Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 The thumb throttle cable is much shorter than the twist cable. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted March 25, 2004 Report Posted March 25, 2004 I ran into the EXACT same problem a while back when I first got my shee...what we did was cut the ball off the throttle end of the cable, grabbed a screw just big enough to thread into the lever inside the thumb throttle, and attached the cable through the hole and drilled the screw in on top of the cable, slapped a small amount of lock-tite in there and rode it for at LEAST a solid year with no problems. Kinda like you would hook the brake cable up on a BMX bicycle....Felt just like it's supposed to....Does this make sense? Hope it helps!! Quote
