pimp559 Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I have a set of reed spacers I'm thinking of installing. I'm running stock carbs and airbox. When putting the spacers on is there a problem with fitting the carbs back on because of the space difference between the carb and airbox?Do you have to mod the box? Quote
MotulMonsta Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 I cut down the air boots...if you cut them from the front..where they attach to the carb, right after the point where the clap sits they will fit perfectly. The rubber is tough as my boots are close to 17 years old and still going strong. Quote
Tim C Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I cut about 1/4" off the flanges on the front of the air box where the boot goes on and it fits on a lot better. Quote
