They leak from the over flow tubes at the back of the carbs. I replaced the float level controler things and they still leak. It's the little brass piece with the o-ring that you had to take the floats out to replace. Can someone give me some advice on what to try next.

Where do you live? My R leaked like crazy when the temps dropped below freezing. I'd suggest checking your float level first if its leaking from the overflow.

Does it leak all the time? At an Idle? When its just sitting there not running? Any info will help.

I'm in texas and it isn't freezing. I checked the float levels and they were at the stock specifications. I'll check the drain screws tomorrow because its dark and I'm to lazy to do it now. The carbs leak all the time. At idle, when I'm riding, and when it is sitting there turned off. What I have been doing is turning off the petcock and letting it idle until it burns the rest of the gas in the carb before parking it. I'm tired of doing that.

did you check the height of the float level upside down and 21mm from the alluminum surface not the gasket surface. you must also bend them so they both are 21 mm not just one.

Try this use your mouth too blow into fuel inlet then close the float bowl if you cant blow air it is sealing it is your float height.

How are you checking it?

If it leaks your needle and seat are bad under the float. or just some dirt in there.

its the height off the floats.

you must make shure both floats on both carbs are right,

they say if you jump allot you should check them more often.

I have had like 5 people need this fixed and the main problem is the float level.

There is not much room for error.
