96shee84z28 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 whats the diff between the skat-trak exreme haulers and the skat-track haulers i'm lookin to get some new paddles r these goin to be good for me?? i'm into racing up hills, sand drags and i do some dunning. Quote
Lepew Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I was told before I bought a pair the extreme haulers that they have the same shape cup and highth paddle as the haulers but are thicker so they don't flex as much and last longer. Quote
bigwill Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I have tried both, still running the extremes, they are made with kevlar and they do last alot longer!!!! Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 bigwill is on the right track, the paddle cups on the Extreme tires are molded with a Kevlar composite material which according to Skat Trak provides a firmer paddle cup with less deflection. For example, Skat Trak actually suggests that if you are running an 8 paddle hauler, and want to switch to the Extreme Hauler, drop a paddle and go with seven paddles. Supposedly because they are firmer, they act like a tire with more paddles. A good friend of mine knows the product development manager at Skat Trak. Quote
ledofthezep Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 A good friend of mine knows the product development manager at Skat Trak. You oughta have him talk to that guy & have him get on the HQ, maybe then we could have him pull some strings and get us HQ'rs some discounts! I need some mohawks for the g/f's EX. Quote
DUNEDEMON Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 Believe me I've tried.. They are stingy bastards and think that the tires sell themselves. Their marketing department only pushes their watercraft parts, hell my bike is going to be featured in the next issue of Sand Addiction Magazine and they would not work with me on tires, ITP did so they will get the advertisement. bigwill Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Hate to say it-but-the haulers are the best paddle tire Ive seen so far,the paddles are thick than others and last longer. Quote
