in due time hommies. !!!!! would it just be a xc section or would it include woods, desert, and the likes ??

XC is woods racing. Desert racing is nothing like XC. Quads are setup very differently between the two race styles, only similarity I can think of is they both use big oversized gas tanks, and they both beat the piss out of the quads. :)

Desert racing is usually WOT for many mile and the races are alot longer. Suspension is setup for a cushy ride so you dont get pounded for 500 miles, and the engine is setup for top end speed.

XC racing is basically a fast paced trail ride through open fields, woods, mud, trails and most XC races include a MX section during the race. XC races are only 2 hours long and the courses average 8 or 9 miles long. Racers usually complete 3 or 4 laps during the race. Smooth, low-mid power band is the setup.

I gotta get some sleep

thats exactly what i needed to know. i think it would wasting space if we put a desert section in here being only a few people ride it, but it seems xc is pretty popular amongst quite a few guys. and xc would cover most of the left out terrains too. dont get me wrong, i race desert and ride wot in the desert all the time, and i love it and im still here to answer any questions for anyone that is interested in going balls out too. thanks meat. later

I got a desert racing question:

How long does it usually take for your balls to catch up with you after you finish? None for me thanks, only way I'd go WOT through the desert is with 10/78 gearing!

you will have to take a run with me through the mojave, then when were done youll be begging to go back for more. just bring alot of duct tape to keep your balls attached

By the way... We are heading out to Sand Lake next weekend for all you NW riders (if I get my bike back).

Let me know how it runs and if you change your gearing. I am really happy with how Chad set mine up.

Oh man. Desert racing has got to be some of the most fun shit I've ever taken part of. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, like flying on the desert roads or across untouched desert landscapes at 100 mph.

If I could do only one thing in this whole world, it would be to complete the Baja course.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Oh, how great that would be.
