brimstone92 Posted February 16, 2004 Report Posted February 16, 2004 do you guys take your cylinder to someone to have them honed, or do you do it yourself? and what do you do it with? i am installing vitos power pistons, and i know the bore is good. it sounds like it needs to be honed to break the glaze, so the rings can seat correctly. please let me know. thanks Quote
0Banshee1 Posted February 17, 2004 Report Posted February 17, 2004 I took my cylinders to my local dealership and they honed both of them for $25. I also started a thread up here about honing. Just go to search and type in cylinder honing or honing. It will help you out if you're doin them yourself. Quote
