GnarlyBanshee Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 I had only had my Banshee for around one month. Me & me riding group (7 of us) used to ride at a construction site a few mile down the road from our house. One day we show up to ride and we were racing to the trails. I pull off & leave my buddies (on stock Raptors). I'm runnin @ WOT in 6th and hit an 8' deep trench (dug the previous night) for a sewer line. I flew 28.5' feet before hitting the ground and slid 21' feet across the rocky dirt with no shirt! Thank God I always ride with a helmet! Smashed the front for my Shee. I killed 2 rims, 2 tie rods, 1 bumper & 1 shoulder... Oh yeah, missed 2 days of work. But you can bet your ass we pulled that bike out of the trench & I finished riding! Lesson??? Don't run WOT in 6th through construction sites, duh. Quote
mrmatt Posted February 13, 2004 Report Posted February 13, 2004 That had to hurt. You don't need to stop running '6th through construction sites', just pre-ride the area first. Quote
