Madbanshee01
Hows it going guys, I recently purchased the upp chain slider, ( the one that hugs around the swing arm) and after being hard to get around to fit, i notice that the allen key which they provide to tighten the gap will not reach the other side. In other words the gap is to big, any tips on what should i do, and/or has this happen to any of you guys. Thanks, Jose
locogato11283
take the bolt to a local hardware store and get one that matches the threads thats a little bit longer. surely its a standard size, couldnt be that hard to find. hops
Just a question, but did you remove the old slider, and its metal band?
bigtreads
oh ya here's a tip - be sure to cut the "right metal band" and not beat and hammer and swear and grind the crap out of the metal end cap that keeps the dirt out of the swing arm pivot bearings. Yes I am a idiot and I don't think I've been that mad at a inanimate object in quite some time
MILO
that's exactly it. remove the metal band. i had the same problem. if you don't want to chisel at it and risk screwing anything up, pull the swing arm bolt and drop the swing arm enough to remove it. it's really not that difficult, and you don't risk damaging the swing arm or dust cover.
