BansheeBoy17 Posted February 7, 2004 Report Posted February 7, 2004 Well my screwdriver slipped today and i bent one of the outer things on the stator and now my quad doesnt start. The rest are fine but the one i bent... the copper wire is showing and stuff... its still connected but kinda bent and not starting . Will just one bent one cause the WHOLE thing not to start? Could i start it my pushstarting it ? Quote
geaux 4 it Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 If it is not firing.There is a good possiblitiy you might have to get it rewound or get a ricky stator.They're a little cheaper than stock or look on ebay. Quote

jrfastbanshee Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 Check the wire to see if it is broken anywhere. If so it can either be soldered back together or you will have to replace. Also...the thin wire wrapped on six of the posts is your ignition side. The heavy gauge wire around the other six posts is for your lights. Hope this helps. Quote

jrfastbanshee Posted February 8, 2004 Report Posted February 8, 2004 You can rewind them youself. Any electronics shop has magnet wire...it's just time consuming. Just use some high temp epoxy on the outside to keep the wires from coming loose. Quote
