0Banshee1 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I just got my new std rings from magic racing for my stock pistons and they will not go back into the slots. Can nebody tell me the problem, and yes i'm putting the right rings in the the right places. Can somebody help me, thanks! Quote
kenr74 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Are they too thick to go into the slots or they just won't fit over the piston? Quote
kenr74 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 I've never had that problem. If you got stock rings you must not have stock pistons would be my guess. Quote
0Banshee1 Posted January 26, 2004 Author Report Posted January 26, 2004 I got my stock pistons and ordered the std piston rings for stock banshee pistons from magic racing, i dont know what the problem is. Quote
ruff_rida69 Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 did you order wiseco rings? I know wiseco does'nt fit for some reason, but i know pro-x and WSM rings fits stock pistons. Quote
0Banshee1 Posted January 26, 2004 Author Report Posted January 26, 2004 No there not wiseco rings. They start with a t, there in the barn but i cant go out there and check the name brand right now. Magic racing said they were made for stock pistons with std bore. Quote
fixitrod Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Guess not, you need to call magic. They'll work with you. Quote
BansheeJerry Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 Are you trying to install the correct ring in the correct groove? The bottom ring is a tad bit thicker than the top. Quote
0Banshee1 Posted January 29, 2004 Author Report Posted January 29, 2004 Yea i'm installation the rings right, but i bought some yamaha std rings off ebay, so i shouldnt have ne problems with them hopefully. Quote
