mrmatt Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Does anyone know the part number of the bearings that are used in the Amp Link? Quote
Proquad101 Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 I am currently taking my bike apart to powder coat when I get my amp link off I will let you know. Quote
boonman Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 Dammit. I do know. However, I don't have the # with me at work. I will look when I get home. I have to be in the garage tonight to rip the ass end out of the sled. Anyways, I will jump up in the bearing stock load, and look up he #. Better yet, I'll sell you a set. make me an offer. you need 4 of them to do both rollers. 2 per roller. Quote
mrmatt Posted January 19, 2004 Author Report Posted January 19, 2004 Better yet, I'll sell you a set. make me an offer. you need 4 of them to do both rollers. 2 per roller. Just bring four to Dumont. I can pay you a fair price for them there. The only reason I want a set is to have spares for the Roostfest. I would hate to drive 2000 miles to California and then not be able to ride because one of those bearings gave out . Quote
TheWolf Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 got mine from erie bearing company. They were a lot cheaper than origionals(thats what someone told me anyhow.) Can't remember the price right now. they are F.A.G. (yes bundle of sticks) bearings there are a few # on the tag so here they are 6200.2RSR.C3 1 K 20059817 upc is 012801164160 I guess F.A.G without the periods shows as bundle of sticks. On the box it doesn't have the periods in between the letters Quote
boonman Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Alright, I checked and the bearing #'s provided are correct. However, you don't need all that jargon when ordering, or asking for a bearing. The model number is the only one you need. Now, I just cross referenced it with my Bearing manual, and I got this: the bore (ID) is 10mm .3937, OD is 30mm (1.1811), width is 9mm (.3543) and the bearing has a steel strip retainer and a contact seal on both sides. Now, for Part #'s: Barden- 200FF BCA- 200CC Fafnir- 200PP bundle of sticks- 6200-2RSR Federal- 1200R (Federal is no longer manufactured, be aware) General- 6200-2RS Hoover- 99200 (Hoover is now a company named NSK) NSK- 99200 Koyo- 6200-2RS MRC- 200SZZ So, With these numbers, you should be able to cal your local bearing house, and order yourself up some. now, you should also be able to give them one maufacturer # and then tell them to give you either that, or an equivalent. Which they will give you whatever brand they have in stock. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Beat me to it Boon. 6200 2RSR C3 is all you need to order a bearing. Tell them to cross reference it to other brands and give you prices. I've found that here in Utah, Koyo and FSK are WAAAAAAAAAY over priced. Quote
boonman Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 They are overpriced no matter where ya are!!!!! Quote
89Steeda Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Does the bearings come with the "sprocket" part? One of mine is WORE out. Not bad for an AMP Link I bought in 1992. Quote
boonman Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Nope. You need to get the roller from AMPresearch. I got a new one for mine, actually both of them for free. I called and told them that I just bought it, and they wore out prematurely. They sent me new rollers with bearings free of charge. They even picked up the shipping. Harry Leitner is the guy I spoke to. Quote
