now that the snow(and extreem cold in NY) has hit, i have my banshee torn arpart to fix some collision damage, and now i figure is a good time to mod my motor. basically i want to make improvements on all points of the powereband, espesially mid range and botom end, but i want to kick up the top end also to crush the 4 stroke riders i ride with. my planed mods are vito's superstock pistons, advancing the timing 4degrees, boyseen reeds reed spacers, fmf fatties, trinity cv intake with 35mm carb, k&n with outerwear and no airbox lid. then obviously new tires to put it all to the ground and i have works triple rate front shocks on the way in the mail. i know im going to gain alot of bottom end with all this but will i loose any top end? or will i get lucky and gain some?

i say keep your stock carbs send them out to get bored to 28's or either that buy some 28's send ur cylinders out to get a fresh bored and hone as well as a mx port job and no bike thats a 4 stroke will touch you on the trails as long as ur not a shitay rider... just my opinion. or here is what i personally would do in this order.

get a mx port job that you can still use ur stock carbs,

get a noss machine coold head with 20 cc domes

good tires for your conditions

and instead of the fattys which are nice pipes i would go with the pt mids i dont think there is more of a "overall" pipe out there.

loose ur air lid and clamp in a prodesign filter set up.

and instead of the vitos pistons get a set of weisco prolights and let the head bump ur compression just incase you wanna change the compresion you can with the head but you cant change the compression if you go with the pistons cuz thats how the pistons work they bump ur compression up. but if you go with that set up you willl have one sweet runnin bike. and also if you want the best traction you can get go with the - 2 swing arm you can have someone cut ur stocker for you some one on here does it i just cant remember who.

I would forget the reed spacers , they don't really help, and go with V-force reeds instead of the boyesons'. Also like was said, go with Paul Turners for low-mid power, and stick with the stock carbs for best low-end too.

I recommend skipping the spacers and go with boyessen dual stage reeds - not the carbon ones either. The v-force are too much and won't improve what you want. I would also go with the 33 carb vs the 35 for what you have done on the motor.
