Bigairee
This sucks. Now I know why compression went down in 1 cylinder. I looked on the pistons and couldn't find anything referring to their size. Would this mean that they are stock. I will be carrying them to the machine shop this week so I will know for sure then but I wanted a general idea.

XTShee
isn't the size normally stamped on the top of the piston? If you buff the carbon off you should be able to see it
.
That was on the exhaust side right? Same thing happened to me, mine looks a lot lot worse. I'm guessing you caught a ring in the exhaust port. Looks like you ran it that way for a little bit with the blow by. Just a little tip. Dont buy a new piston set from NBS distributing, formerly known as Recreation Unlimited. They completely F'd up my order and gave me the runaround and 6 weeks later I gave up and got a cylinder setup from on here.
Bigairee
I did run it that way for a while. I noticed the compression loss about 8-10 engine hours ago. went from 145 to 120 but ran good. It finally dropped to 100 and I figured it was time to tear it apart. Didn't expect to see the ring gone.
boonman
I used to get my top end sets from Moto-Man.com. Always had good luck. Never had a problem. 2 days later, I get my shit. Sucks that it happend to ya, but get the pistons before they bore it. They should be able to set everything properly.
