rtg_61184 Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 I'm getting my banshee back in order after being rode hard and put up wet then sitting for many years. Had the rear tires off n chain off and didn't like how hard it was to turn the axle by hand so figured time for new bearings. Got the new bearings and seals in and it feels about the same - is there usually some resistance to it? Like if I were to try to spin it real fast by hand it might go a revolution or two but not much more, I would think it should spin really easy but dont know never done this before. Any help much appreciated! Quote
JerzOutlaw350 Posted October 21, 2025 Report Posted October 21, 2025 When I have my Banshee raised off the ground and I spin the rear tires I only get about 2-1/2 revolutions. The rear brake caliper and chain going to the transmission causes a good amount of resistance. If you remove the caliper and chain it will spin more freely. Also make sure that you didn’t over tighten the axle nuts. Quote
rtg_61184 Posted October 21, 2025 Author Report Posted October 21, 2025 Thanks JerzOutlaw. Im doing this with the chain and brake caliper removed and the axle nut only hand tight. It feels pretty much the same as before I did the bearings Quote
