BitchenBanshee Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 Has anyone purchased one of these lights? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2451886461 Just wondering how well they lasted and how well the install looks! Quote
Big Blue Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 I was looking at them to but when i sent a email to the guy asking about them i never got a response from him, I was looking into getting the 10 led instead of the 6. Quote
bigtreads Posted January 4, 2004 Report Posted January 4, 2004 yep I bought one. It shipped quick and looked great. I did have to make a bracket to fit it in place of the old stock light as the mount tabs were to wide. I have also found that the led's are kinda on the dull side as compared to really bright but I still think it was worth what I payed. Norm Quote
BitchenBanshee Posted January 5, 2004 Author Report Posted January 5, 2004 man you had to make your own bracket. Not a big deal, but should be a bolt on if it is advertised as such! Quote
bigtreads Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Ya I did find it strange. The tabs on my grab bar didn't stick out far enough - like about a inch between the two. Oh well no biggie Quote
jrm312 Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 i got one on ebay aswell works great , i had to make a mount aswell because of after market rear grab bar,it fits on stock bar. i think?? Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 are the LED's replcable? 12,000 mcd isn't enough for me, But it might be worth it just for the bracket. Quote
blue95shee Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 I have two of them. One on my Banshee and I was going to put one on my 350X also. They look pretty good and it fit good. They are on the dim side, though. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 as soon as I get another bracket made ill show you guys my new taillight and underlighting using LEDs...Im hoping to make them by this weekend, but its not looking good. I'll at least compleat the taillight though... Im having a few extras made for anyone that is interested also. They should be somewhere around 1,000,000 mcd...might be too bright for you guys though heh. Of course my bracket won't be as fancy as that one since I have no way to mill a block of aluminum. Quote
efward Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 Let's see. 1,000,000 mcd. Can you look directly at it without a welding shield? Quote
Justintoxicated Posted January 7, 2004 Report Posted January 7, 2004 I Well its 1,000,000 between 2 LEDs, around 1,000,000 not exactly, and no your not supposed to look directly into them with the focused optics, the warning says to treat as a class 2 laser. I have yet to ride behind my friends bike after he bought my cyan light off me. My fireds said it wasetn too bad, but distracting more than anything. Quote
