01bansheefox Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 First off I want to start from the frame and do almost everything myself.... Is it pretty simple as long as you have the money? Putting it together etc..... Not counting the engine componets. Also about hot much $$$ would you need to dump into an engine to reach 100mph, thats my goal. Quote
ScreaminShee01 Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 from a stock shee prolly about 3-5 grand... and gear high, just an estimate, ask around or maybe in the performance shops forum they might help ya there Quote
NYUK Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 if you lighten it up your self, cut off all the useless bracketry.and are not looking for looks.100 mph is not hard to get there,it`s how fast you get there.if you want an asphalt dragster at a budget price it can be done relatively cheap .with an alky conversion.pm me if you are serious,i can get you a good price on converting your carbs, swingarm, and porting.let me know. BaddestBanshee Posted January 2, 2004 Report Posted January 2, 2004 I did the same thing, spent over 10K on it. mine is for sale now. want to buy it? Quote
01bansheefox Posted January 3, 2004 Author Report Posted January 3, 2004 Naaa looking to do my own so I can truthfully say I built it myself. Quote
01bansheefox Posted January 3, 2004 Author Report Posted January 3, 2004 what are your mods and times? by the way Quote
jonlorio Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 look in the classifieds. i have a complete drag bike for sale. you wont even build a stock framed dragger for that kinda money. you'd be better off buying one already built. just a thought. jon Quote
01bansheefox Posted January 8, 2004 Author Report Posted January 8, 2004 that kinda beats the purpose, just want to do something on my spare time. Quote
NYUK Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 yeah but johns bike is a proven winner.it the real deal. Quote
raxen Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 1. Add GSXR 750 engine, should fit well. 2. Slicks. 3. Make pipes. Less than 3 grand to spend to start the project and it should do the trick on the strip. Quote
