broke Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Yes and no. You will in theory lose some top end. You will in theory gain some bottom. You can use some simple math to figure out how to get back your topend. Take the stock front gear tooth count which is 14, mutiply by stock rear tire diameter which is 20 and divide by the new rear tire diameter, 18. 14x20/18=15.55 You can gain back much of which you lost by going to a 15 or 16. There will be a slight trade off to each one. broke Quote
