i used tal strip (sp?), it's an automotive strength paint stripper that you can pick up at any automotive paint store....worked great on my side cases and jugs...

Good luck that paint is tough. I can tell you that ez strip from the home depot doesn't work. Airplane stripper will work but as we told you you have to use steel wool, then buff out hte scratches.

Use the aircraft stripper. lay it on real thick, wait a couple minutes, wipe off with a paper towel. Repeat until all paint is gone. That shit is some nasty stuff. works great, but wear gloves.
