Winter Upgrades

Will be buying some cylinder from a buddy this weekend. Going to be doing some winter upgrading to my banshee. The cylinders are a set of 421cubs with wicked atv stage 2 porting. Would it be better to run 35mm or 39mm carbs? I do not plan to go to the dunes with it, only to my local coal hills for a few drag races and then a few climbs.
