Gee323 Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 I have an 4 mil. Cut transmission 1 to 5 , 35mm pj carbs , cool head with 19cc domes to fit 4mil , 792 66mm pistons dune cut porting in the cylinders. WILL AN 18x10x8 HOOSIER JR DRAG SLICK BE TOO SMALL ? Or what would you recommend? Quote
Toybreaker Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 18" diameter is tiny, smaller tire = more rpms..... you will top out at what? 80 mph? doing 300 ft? 1/8 mile? Quote
Toybreaker Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 definitely too small. kenda K547 or quarter midget tires are a better option. get your diameter (rollout) up, can get a higher top speed and not be on the rev limiter by 300 feet.... Quote

JasonBourne.Qc Posted May 19, 2020 Report Posted May 19, 2020 18" and 19" slicks are what we run on the 1/8. Longer than that, American Racer is better. You could also play with your gearing. We run 18-19 front sprocket and small rear (36-37-38). If your motor can pull a 19 front, play with the rear one because it's faster to change it. Bigger front sprocket does put less stress on the output shaft, so it's a win/win. 1 Quote
