So I just got my 96 banshee last week, never had one before and I'm no mechanic.. it ran fine this whole time until today, I just put a full tank of fuel into it pulled it out of the garage and started it. Started like it usually does after a couple kicks. Then it backfired and slowly died.. I started it a couple more times but it wouldnt idle and now I cant get it to start unless I let it sit for a while.. any ideas?

Possibly, if it can't vent or doesn't vent and you just filled it so ... now you say filled it to the brim . I would start There and it's easy too

Are your fuel lines clear?

You probably sucked some junk up from the bottom of your carb bowls and now your jet circuit is probably clogged some where.
