  1. Thank you guys!!! It worked! Got the clutch to free up! And I'm actually way up in Michigan. But it has been very humid. I guess I need to flush the oil again and see if it's contaminated. I replaced the waterpump seal and checked the o ring before putting more oil in.. I will let you guys know. Thanks again!!!
  2. Yeah, so is this normal from sitting? Also. Is it possible that this isn't coolant in my oil? I read somewhere else that the "fibers" from the clutch had turned another's guys oil milky as well... thank you!!!!
  3. Well, there's coolant in my oil.... so I'm guessing I need to rebuild the water pump or make sure the o ring is good on the crossover tube. This sucks...
  4. So I tore my bike down to the frame. It's been about a 6 month process of powder coating, painting and hone and new pistons. I've got everything back together, engine running good. But I can't get the clutch to disengage. I didn't touch the clutch when I had the engine out of the bike. And it worked fine before. The cable seems to pull the actuator all the way so i dont think the problem is there.. I have no knowledge with clutches as I've never had an issue before and never had to work on them.. any ideas or where should I start? Thanks guys.
  5. I'm hoping that's what it is. I will get some good photos later.. because I really don't want to tear the bottom end apart if something fell in.. it looks like an actual just broke off.. but the cylinder walls look great...
  6. Nope! I've been riding it for two years! And this is my first banshee!!!
  7. Hey, guys. This is my first post here. Anyways, i have a 1996 banshee. When I bought it, the seller told me it was ported, and the crank is stock. Anyway, the right piston has a chunk missing from the top. No compression. I told myself that when something like this happened I would just go big or go home. So I am wondering what I should do, I see bore kits online like the 421 kits. And I'm sure this is a dumb question. But do you need new crank and rods as well? I'm just super confused and what I should do. I just don't want to go stock! Thanks guys!
  8. All fuel lines are clear.. how do you remove the slides from the top of the carburetors? I want to check the bowls
  9. I cleaned the plugs.. I'm going to get some new ones today. And I run 4 oz. Per gallon
  10. Will that usually make it quit? Because I filled it to the brim.. lol
  11. So I just got my 96 banshee last week, never had one before and I'm no mechanic.. it ran fine this whole time until today, I just put a full tank of fuel into it pulled it out of the garage and started it. Started like it usually does after a couple kicks. Then it backfired and slowly died.. I started it a couple more times but it wouldnt idle and now I cant get it to start unless I let it sit for a while.. any ideas?
