Hey guys, I used to spend some time on this site when I was a teenager and had my first banshee. Well I’m 32 now and seems like I’ve come full circle. I’ve been out of the game for 10 years up until this past March when for some reason I purchased a 06 ltr that was pretty built up for mx.

Bike sat forever, ran like shit. So I fixed it a traded it for a banshee seeing I missed my 02 I sold to get a yfz back in 2004.

I still have my yfz that’s set up for xc but have no real desire to get it back to where it needs to be to feel good. I also acquired an 86 atc250r that I restored as a rider as well. I guess you can say I got the bug again.

I got this bike a few months back and rebuilt it with a pretty basic ported motor.

Took it to some coal here in pa and honestly hated it.

So I sold everything and started over last week. Here are some picks from the moment I got it, the previous build and progress in this build.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Or don’t. Regardless, I’ll have a place documenting the progress of the bike.

Nice 250r and shee. Why did you hate riding it on the coal hills? I'm out west but the coal looks fun.

I love coal hills, l always have. Built this for them in mind. I just wasn’t a fan of the motor.
There are a good amount of hills with no run up and the bike would struggle from time to time.

Top end screamed but came on to late for me.

I got a driveline 421 Hp setup and a set of slp’s to try instead of the shearers.

Either way the more power is welcomed and I’ll figure out what pipes give me what I want.

As am I. I’ve never ran them but the dynos  on here seem very promising for coal.

I’ll be heading back out in a few weeks when I get it all together. I’ll let you know for sure.

Shearers pulled hard through the gears as long as you had a little lead to hit the hill in third. I had issues when it was a tight tree start. It also might have to do with it just being ported.

We had so much rain this past spring everything is pretty washed out.

Awesome, I’ve seen you’re quite the advocate for them. I have just got the same set up you had but the H.P. I’m excited to try it out.

The new motor set up should be much better. I've always had play'ish motor setups, and had enough low end for short run ups and take offs down in the trees. My buddy had a drag ported set up and hated it like you. Let us know what your thoughts are on this new motor.

It’s a two time blue. Chrome under coat and a blue top. I’m really happy with it. I was going to go all white but when I walked into the powder shop fell in love with this.

180 bucks for the frame. Swinger. A arms. Stem. And a few gold accents.
