kawa110
Fuel in crankcase Check carb needle and seats, float height. I would pull the pipes and leak down test. U can drain the pipes and ensure ur crankcase seals are still tight and no affected by the gas bath. lowkhalbalr
so Ive got the bike more or less squared away. After investigating a multitude of potential problems, I found that the case was full of fuel. Heres what I did: 1). I cleared the case of fuel (as previously described) then allowed it to idle for ~10min at operating temp. this got it starting and idling reliably albeit with a noticable pop at rpm. 2). I then replaced the reeds (VF3 Carbon Fiber). The problem persisted. 3). I then replaced the OEM stator for another OEM stator. This resolved the apparent backfire. Additionally, I dropped the main jet to 320 from 330, as it seemed to be a bit rich. (im at sea level) Overall, this has been a righteous pain in the ass.... I appreciate the HQ community trying to help a brother out!!:) My last issue: with the aforementioned problematic stator... The left headlight and tail light /brake light worked and the bike backfired... with the new OEM stator, the bike runs great, but the head light and tail light dont work at all.... btw, it has a new voltage regulator Edited September 14, 2019 by lowkhalbalr
