Hockey390 Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Alrighty, I've asked which is better for me...the bills or the PC, and I still have a mixed oppinion...Im leaning towards the Bills BUT how do DG's compare to them both??? ( I do 80% trail and 20% dune) Quote
wesw Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 well i havent heard or read anyone posting that dg kick ass. so that would be my advice. the pc are a little more rev pipe i believe. Quote
Brian G Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 I run Pro Circuit, it is a good all around pipe. But if you want a good pipe for low end go for the LRD you can adjust them for what you want to do. So If you want to do some dune riding you got the pipe right there!!! With the simple turn of of a screw you got a duner. Quote
bluescreamer02 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I run bills and they are great i orderd this kit thing off moto-man shipping was fast and great very happy with these pipes, I ride trails, sand and track there great for a all around pipe i would recommend them over PC because ive ran against a shee almost the same modded except my porting work and his pipes, i took him everywhere. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 well ive heard bad things about every pipe youve mention except for the bills, id say thats teh one to pick Quote
raxen Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I have heard bad things about all of the pipes minus the Pro Circuit. LRD adjustable are nicknamed ass-blower 2000's. Horrible pipe, my neigbhor has a set and it took some time for the pipes to be installed on the bike. Completely bad fit from the factory and the tunability is bullshit. Quote
Brian G Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 Raxen, These pipes just dont bolt on, The LRD's take some time but when done right they will work very well. The adjustment on the chamber on the pipe is only a powerband changer you do not get more power is they are in or out!!!! An when you get them set you should silicone seal them. Most people dog the pipe but have never used them for themselvs. In your paragraph you said MY NEIGHBOR not you!! which means you have no Idea what this pipe is like. Take a bike with FMF pipes and put a 2000 into the motor and take a bike with LRD pipes and put 2000 into the motor you will see what happens. Quote
raxen Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 I have rode his shee several times. I have raced his against his shee several times. It is a turd. I think the fundamental design of the LRD adj. pipe was for light trailriding not much else. The adjustment on the chamber on the pipe is only a powerband changer you do not get more power is they are in or out!!!! Did I ever mention anything about getting more power out? I said tuneability. If I still had an old set of FMF Fattys or SSTs on my shee, I would say that I would race you right now but I don't have any. If you still want to race sometime, I've got CPI big bore inframes on my slow shee and I have an easy 2 grand in the motor. Meet during duning season and see what that LRD can do for you. Hell if you want, Hayabushee will be done by then if you wanna get embarassed. Let me know if you are still LRD happy next season. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted December 9, 2003 Report Posted December 9, 2003 oh damn raxen will probably kill u, especially if he's runnin with taht fuckin insane hayabushee Quote
Brian G Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 There is no next season for me, I ride all year. And who cares about a banshee with a street bike engine in it anyways!! thats like me saying I will race you with my 68 chevelle and whip you. Quote
raxen Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 I would be willing to bet I can dump that Chevelle of yours to with all 400 horsies. A street motor that puts out an easy 500 HP in a shee versus a 3 ton elephant with 350-400 HP, no come on? Quote
bronco91shee Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 boys play nice. This is for the roostin room! And if ur racin for tru, u should both have stock shees, with only pipes. Or at least the same mods. Get over it guys. Settle it on the dunes. when the flag drops, u'll know who is better. Peace out. Quote
bronco91shee Posted December 10, 2003 Report Posted December 10, 2003 personaly i have only run fmf, DG, and t-5's. toomy is great on the top end. Fmf hits a little lower(my favorite), and DG just sucked. They werent any money. I hated them, i got whooped by everybody, could barley even beat stock machines. Just my experience. Peace out. Quote
Hockey390 Posted December 10, 2003 Author Report Posted December 10, 2003 Alrighty, well thanks for that reply (an on topic one...lol) I've purchased an older set of FMF gold series. Guy said he didnt know what modell; Fatty, Gnarly, SST, etc.; but from what I remember they made the fatty first? right? So thats what I think the pipe is...If not, who cares. I got a great deal and could easily resell it for a lil more if I dont like it or wanna upgrade to the SST or bills. Quote
