bluescreamer02 Posted December 7, 2003 Report Share Posted December 7, 2003 Ok my shee needs to be rejetted for coler weather between 15-40 degree weather and its summer jetted right now but i always get it to start on the first kick but then it just dies after i get it goin and wont start again, do u think if i moved teh needle clips down that would fix it? TREELIZARD Posted December 7, 2003 Report Share Posted December 7, 2003 the first thing that i would do is put a new set of plugs in it to get it to start and then mess with your jetting after you get it to start. you might only have to go larger on the mains and adjust your air screws. BenBB Posted December 8, 2003 Report Share Posted December 8, 2003 I don't think you need to mess with the needles, try adjusting the airscrews in (richer) a half turn at a time and see if that helps. Depending on how much colder it is now, you'll probably need to jet the mains a size or two larger as well (say if it ran perfect at WOT when it was 60 degrees F and had 200 mains, for 40 degrees F try 210s, for 20 degrees F try 220s; a main jet size is good for roughly a 20-30 degree temp range).
