rjdgriff Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Cr500 parts can be a bitch to get depending on what year the motor is Giving away "TSS" for FREE!!! 1 Quote

sangheraent Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 that bike is going to rattle your teeth lose. the cr500 motor in a quad has yet to be done right, without a counterbalancer not sure its even possible. constant frame cracks. 1 Quote
rjdgriff Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 I have heard this said as well I have no personal experience with a setup like that so I didn't mention the vibration factor Tyler tried this before if I am not mistaken? Giving away "TSS" for FREE!!! 1 Quote
SandSlingerOR Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Is a cr500 reverse kick? No way it can be kicked forward 1 Quote
sheerider11 Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 As cool as it seems, unless you don't mind welding and fabricating after every ride, it'll be a lot of problems. Cracking, position, parts, and issues will arise. If your up for it then get it. But if you want a start and go ride bike is say no. 1 Quote
Rafe Posted May 16, 2017 Author Report Posted May 16, 2017 Awesome info gents, much appreciated, going to think about it, but the gf would be riding it so I'm thinking maybe another banshee Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
kawa110 Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 If it's a second bike that will barley Be riden (and u don't mind wrenching). But that's too much money for a old refreshed motor, most of those type of builds are Frankenstein shit. I agree with shee rider. 1 Quote
Big Mike NY Posted May 25, 2017 Report Posted May 25, 2017 As cool as the idea looks and sounds, the rattling will make you want to get rid of it! Of an owner of a highly modified CR500 I can say a CR500 belongs in a dirt bike, nothing else.. without major issues and up keep. Quote
