First time building a banshee and was lookin for some insight from the pros. I bought a junker for 900 bucks a little over a year ago. Tore it down to pieces and left it sitting. Got tired of my 450 and now wanting to finish this banshee. I've watched these forums for a little while reading up on stuff here and there. Still not on a good understanding of all the badass motor mods you can do but Here's my start. Haven't got around for pictures yet, haven't even got very far.

Powder coated frame

Milled head

Honed cylinders

Wiesco pistions

Welded stock crank

New gaskets/seals in the motor.

All balls bearings for axle/swing arm/linkage

That's my start and I'm ordering in some parts tonight and before I blow money on shit that's bad or pointless I wanna run it through you guys.

ASI oversized aluminum radiator

Vforce 4 reeds

Stainless bolts kit

Chariot billet intakes with built in cages (does that delete the cross over tube or am I dumb?)

Mod quad chain roller slider set

Any good recommendations on standard travel a arms. I would do long travel but I got my axle PCd and don't wanna waste it so I'll run it for a bit at stanrd length.

Cree led pods.

What type of filter system should I run. Quad came with K&N pods

Should I stick with stock carbs or upgrade. Trying to make sure on these parts before I blow away some doe. Thanks guys.

You could look into porting for your type of riding, aftermarket head with domes to complement the porting, and ask builder what pipes to run.

Works shocks would make a difference with those a arms as well. Pods, but I'd list more info like where you ride, how you ride etc.

I have a list I made for my recent frame up build. It's a bit over board compared to your needs but it may give you an idea. I can email it to you. I just did it to total up my build for theft insurance value.

little Sarah in Utah will 85% of where it gets rode. Small jumps, high rpms and wheelies is how I like to ride. Little bit of hill shooting. Like the idea if a lockout but don't know much about em.

Alba a arms are decent, and priced right. I'd definitely talk to a builder about porting then. Really should list a budget.

Definitely will look into porting. So my main goal is to have it ready by Easter weekend. Id like to get it built and be a decent bike then from there id like to get more into the motor. Budget wise i don't really have one set, but I'm not trying to go all out just yet. Kinda wanna build some knowledge of these quads then I'll go all in. If that makes sense.

Dump what you have in building up your engine. If youre not jumping, and doing extreme shit anyways. I'd rather have a normal looking banshee that burns ass.

You need porting.

You also need some shocks.

looking into porting today. Also where can I get a TT bolt kit? Maybe I am misunderstanding Lt arms. I got a stock length axle id like to get some use out of and go Lt arms would out me at a wider stance in front right? Edited by AmericanBuilt

If you get +2 Lt a-arms, your front end would be wider.

Just buy some YFZR rear hubs to make your rear end wider. adds about 1.75" to width.http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-Yamaha-YFZ450R-YFZ-450-R-Rear-Wheel-Hubs-with-Studs-Left-And-Right-/311636026729?hash=item488ef46569:g:yz0AAOSwGIRXYefp&vxp=mtr

For TT bolts, http://racetechtitanium.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=75_82_87

So my difference would be .25 which would be hard to notice. Stock size UPP racing intake boots added to cart. Yfz hubs added. Looking into that bolt kit
