old put-put Posted September 4, 2016 Report Share Posted September 4, 2016 17/38 on my 421 cub HJR drag ported, and unless you're on pavement it still blows the tires off. That's with +6 swinger. My super serval makes a ton of power but the 15/41 gearing along with the 22" tires make for very long and fast(mph) gears. The +6 i have sucks for wheelies and handling. It idles in first gear around 10/15 mph, not really a trail friendly setup with +6 swinger and very violent (for lack of a better term) acceleration.
