jrevans2571 Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 I'm only firing on one cylinder. Bike won't Rev. When it's idling I can pull plugs and it will run with right but when I pull left it dies. When I switch them it does it with same plug. Does this mean the ignition is bad? Or cdi box? Or both? Or neither? I'm still learning so can someone please help me? Thanks Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 switching spark plugs or spark plug cap/wires? So it always won't run on the right side? Was that your 85psi side? Quote
jrevans2571 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Report Posted April 12, 2016 No it will run on either side. It's the one particular plug wire that it dies out on when you pull it,ir leave it on I should say. There is only one plug wire keeping bike going. But both wires seem to be getting fire because they seem to shock the shit out of me when I'm trying to pull them while the bike is running. It's weird. Only one will keep it running but both have fire going to them... What does that mean? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 so, we are back to checking the caps with an ohm meter and trimming the ends of the wires back. Quote
jrevans2571 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Report Posted April 12, 2016 How do you check the caps with the meter? And trim the ends? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted April 12, 2016 Report Posted April 12, 2016 unscrew the caps from the wires. cut off about 1/4" of wire. stick probes of ohm meter in each end of cap (boot) - resistance should be 5000 ohms I found this Quote
