ClaudeMachining Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 It looks good to me, but it's my first Shee case spliting! Quote

tdod101 Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 (edited) No scoring on the trenches. Good stuff. Take the trans out and inspect the shift forks and the gears as well. FYI, don't pry apart it apart with that screwdriver either, use a rubber mallet instead Edited April 6, 2016 by tdod101 1 Quote
hoppedupandcutdown Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 I thought you guys had the metric system up there? That must be an American made screwdriver? Quote
Bennett131 Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 I thought you guys had the metric system up there? That must be an American made screwdriver? When he's machinering stuff he actually uses the imperial system. Weird eh? I thought we were alone in that stuff. Quote
rubberneck Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Since you have the equipment, cut the trans while you have that thing split apart. It doesnt take long and they shift so much nicer. 1 Quote

The gears are looking good, forks too, im happy. The only thing i didnt like that munch is my crank... I think the bearings have some play.... I put a new 4mill crank anyway. Yes i will do some mods on the tranny. Pancake bearings, shift star etc.... Finaly, like Bennett said, we are working 90% of the time in imperial units. Probably 'cause of you Muricans! Quote
