0sikshee Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 I'm 6'3" and currently have a stock stem with 7/8 pro taper atv high bend. It feels like I'm hunched over when I'm standing. Is a +2 enough or does anyone run a +3. I know it's all in rider preference just want to see what the taller people are running. Any & all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Quote
Craig B Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 I'm 6'2 and I have the same bars you have. I had Fireball make me a +1 +1 and it's alot higher. I think +2 is more than enough. Quote
sheerider11 Posted April 4, 2016 Report Posted April 4, 2016 I'm 6'3" as well. I have a +2+1 with flexx bars So I have higher bars then any pro taper or renthal. But I love it. I can cruise standing and the bars are at my hands. I'm not reaching down. Riding is super comfortable actually with the bars that high as well Quote
0sikshee Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Does it feel goofy like"ape hangers" when sitting? Quote

0sikshee Posted April 5, 2016 Author Report Posted April 5, 2016 Looks like a +2 is going to be ordered tonight. I know fireball makes quality products. Is that what everyone is running? Quote

m671054 Posted April 5, 2016 Report Posted April 5, 2016 +2+1 lsr with cr high bars and precision clamps. 6'0 tall. Super compfortable. Shouldve done this years ago. Riding in a standing position is way better. Look into down and back pegs also. 1 Quote
Zillaguy Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Im 6-3 and run a LSR +1 with anti vibe clamp, and Pro Taper ATV High bend. With the antivibe stem and the +1 it's actually about a true +2 higher than stock. It's comfortable, but took some getting used to while sitting at first. But while standing i can stand perfectly upright and still be able to reach the bars solidly. Sent from my LGMS345 using Tapatalk Quote
guns4children Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Tall people problems. Glad I found another advantage to being short. That and I don't have to duck when walking in basements. 1 Quote
Dunatic619 Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 But you're the last to know when it rains. I run +2+1 stem and pro taper atv high bends. Working out well so far. But I'm 6' with gorilla arms. Quote
Chukkinsod Posted April 6, 2016 Report Posted April 6, 2016 Good question...I believe glass hoods also require a higher bar to clear...at least RB. Stock stem too short bars hit Quote
