Craig B Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 Anyone ever have this done on pipes? I have a set of new Snipers on the way and need to get some type of finish on them. Was thinking black chrome would look cool but never seen it done on 2 stroke pipes before. Thanks Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 Never seen on pipes before it's gonna be pretty expensive. At least the only place around my neck of the woods that had it it was expensive Quote
Craig B Posted February 23, 2016 Author Report Posted February 23, 2016 I like doing different stuff. If the cost is not much more than regular Chrome I may go with it. Just need to find someone reputable Quote
bluebanshee98 Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 It would prob look dope. I heard it was 2 or 3x cost of chrome but I could be mistake so you would have to find out for sure. Let us know what prices you find Quote
Craig B Posted February 23, 2016 Author Report Posted February 23, 2016 Will do. I emailed a place out in California. See if they get back with me. Quote
Bennett131 Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 This will look awesome! Be sure to post pics if you end up getting it done. Quote
Phelps Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 black chrome is very fragile. that's why most wheel companies stopped offering it. i would assume because of thickness. may work great, but i would definitely talk it over with your coating specialist. Quote
vrx46 Posted February 23, 2016 Report Posted February 23, 2016 I've done black chrome before, shit is tight. The solution is purple hahaha Quote

I talked to Super Chrome today. They don't do black chrome and he told me he would nickle plate the pipes. Said chrome would turn blue from the heat. Quote
