if your asking about a plane jane hotrods your better off putting it in the scrap bin and getting a new one. parts, labor and shipping will exceed what a new one cost. about the only time it makes sens to rebuild is with a high dollar billet or rare situations where specialized bearings and rods are used

Yes you can disassemble the lower end grind carefully the tig weld then send the crank to hane a new rod and pin plus bearings installed. Make sure it is trued then send it to be re tig welded.

Wouldn't it just make sense to send it to one place that can handle all of the above? IMO, if someone can't handle each task involved with the crank, they really shouldn't be touching it. I've seen all kinds if guys willing to weld cranks, but none with the ability to actually true the crank before burning a weld on. Makes sense as to why there are guys out there with welded cranks way out of spec.

I've seen tons of cranks brand new outta spec, every idiot with a tig slams a weld on there with bearing on and pulls it outta true, pay attention to where hot rods welds there cranks , thee on to something over there
