I have a Boss carrier and a new Tyson swinger. When i install the carrier into the swinger, the brake stay is loose. How is everyone keeping it tight up against the carrier? Is there supposed to be a wave washer between the carrier and brake stay, that keeps it tight against the snap ring?

I know it's supposed to float, but it just seems excessive.

The swinger has nothing to do with the looseness of the brake stay. The brake stay has the carrier itself on one side and the snap ring on the other. So that gap is the gap regardless of swingarm.

Does the brake stat have a notch ground in from rubbing either side?

It's brand new. With the snap ring installed there is a gap between the snap ring and brake stay. There is definitely enough space for a wave spring washer to be in there taking up the slack.

The swinger is perfect, this is definitely an issue with the carrier.

What's a better carrier?
