Snapped my brand new crank snout installing flywheel

I do know I shouldn't have laid into the impact gun for as long as I did though, so I'm sure it was my fault either way and not a problem with the crank. Definitely weird how it snapped the crank instead of stripping the threads on ether the crank or flywheel nut first though.

Kevin at HJR is awesome though, had my parts out to me right away, answers my texts right back (hope I wasn't annoying him lol), seemed like an all around great person to deal with, and offered to fix my crank for free when I over torqued it.

It makes zero sense to me that it actually pulled the snout off the crank. I could see it pulling the threads off the end MAYBE. But Id sure hope that anyone with a sense of shit would realize its getting awfully tight far before the treads let go. The fact that it PULLED the end off would lead me to believe that there is something faulty in the material. On a direct pull like that it should take FAR more pull than what any brand of impact has, and it should take FAR more pull than what the threads would withstand.
